Enabling further education
The most effective means of fighting poverty is to give access to education. By making it possible for children and young people to attend school we are laying the foundations for a good life and an have a lasting impact on the future of Romani families.
The first young people have graduated from school and want to continue their education. High school, university or vocational training – these are the steps towards a better future. But the bus connection is poor and expensive, renting a room unaffordable. Finding one’s way in the city is difficult for young persons from a village. Without guidance and study assistance, most of them quickly give up. Without financial and organisational support, the families cannot afford to educate their children further after they graduate from elementary school.
