SOKERES

The Social Centre in Marpod opened in the autumn of 2021. In Romanes, one greets each other with “Sokeres“ – “How are you?“.

The building was provided by the municipality. It had to be renovated from the ground up. Now there is a room for studying, playing and eating, a consultation room for parents, toilets and a bathroom.

Currently, 20 children attend the programme every day. We try to get close to families in difficult situations by means of home visits. Five family houses have been built, other houses have been renovated and to six water pipes have been laid and bathrooms installed.
