My name is Mircea and I teach saxophone at the music school Casa Sonja in Hosman. I have been working at ELIJAH for almost five years and I like my job.
Here I have the chance to meet many talented children. I am currently teaching 14 students on the saxophone. I like working with Roma children because some of them have really good musical qualities. They are receptive because they feel the music, they have it in their blood. I want to be not only their teacher but also their friend. Sometimes it’s difficult, sometimes the kids are undisciplined, but I have a lot of patience. Every concert is a challenge for me. I always try to do my best to be successful with my students. When we’re on stage in a performance with the full orchestra, it’s an overwhelming and satisfying feeling. I am very proud of our achievements.
