The need is great
Many Roma families in Transylvania live in shocking poverty and isolation - in shabby mud huts with no foundations, water or electricity. Most Roma children do not go to school, there is often a lack of clothing and shoes, and they cannot study in the tiny huts. There are no training or work opportunities for the boys in the remote villages.
ELIJAH helps. With general life support, education and work projects, Roma families get hope and a perspective.
Our social work program
We focus on working with children and young people.
• Family support and social centers - Satisfying basic needs.
• Education - Discovering and promoting talent.
• Training and work - helping people to help themselves.
• Independence - Accompany the new beginning.
Our community, which seeks the ways of social work in the Bible, carries the project.
A time line of our projects is also provided here.
