Mircea Pîrcălabu

My name is Mircea and I teach saxophone at the music school Casa Sonja in Hosman. I have been working at ELIJAH for almost five years and I like my job.

Here I have a good chance to meet many gifted children. I currently teach 14 students on the saxophone. I enjoy working with Roma children because some of them have really good musical qualities. They are receptive because they feel the music, they have it in their blood. I want to be not only their teacher, but also their friend. Sometimes it is difficult, sometimes the children are undisciplined, but I have a lot of patience. Every concert is a challenge for me. I always try my best to be successful with my students. When we perform with the big orchestra on stage, it’s an overwhelming and satisfying feeling. I am very proud of our achievements.
