The raven is our symbol. On the Romanian icons he is the trademark for the prophet Elijah. When Elijah told the unjust king the truth, he had to flee. He hid by the Kerit brook. The raven saved his life. The Bible reports: "The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and also bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook."“

"Raven" is a derogatory term for a Rom in Romania. But ravens are loyal, social, capable of learning and smart. We want to help the ravens to their right. Instead of the swear word, their talents should shine. Instead of shame, the friendship they give should glow. They shall shine in their engagement for others. The raven children save lives.
